La tecnología en Gestión ambiental, Integra el componente administrativo, estratégico, contable y financiero, permitiendo aplicar elementos del proceso administrativo, gestión de los recursos y relacionamiento socioambiental para el mejoramiento del desempeño ambiental de las organizaciones en el marco de la sostenibilidad.
• Usa herramientas tecnológicas, para la identificación de aspectos e impactos ambientales, el monitoreo ambiental y la implementación de controles basados en un pensamiento sistémico.
• Usa laboratorios virtuales, donde los estudiantes pueden comenzar aprendiendo y experimentando con procedimientos en un entorno digital.
Facultar a tecnólogos en gestión ambiental para aplicar acciones de prevención, control y mitigación de los impactos ambientales a través del uso de herramientas administrativas y tecnológicas para la mejora del desempeño organizacional.
El Tecnólogo en Gestión Ambiental de la Institución Universitaria de Envigado estará en capacidad de aplicar acciones de prevención, control y mitigación de los impactos ambientales a través del uso de herramientas administrativas y tecnológicas para la mejora del desempeño organizacional, que le permita determinar los elementos del proceso administrativo, ejecutar las estrategias organizacionales de manera sistemática y evaluar el logro de los resultados del desempeño ambiental. Con capacidad de comprender, reflexionar y transformar su entorno, reconociendo y respetando las diferencias en un contexto intercultural.
El Tecnólogo en Gestión Ambiental se podrá desempeñar en los cargos de:

Auxiliar/Asistente/ Analista ambiental
Inspector ambiental
Inspector salud ambiental
Técnico en control ambiental

Instructor formación en gestión ambiental
Requisitos de admisión:
- Poseer el título de bachiller.
- Resultados pruebas saber 11.
- Contar con la capacidad básica de habilidades lecto-escritoras y lógico matemáticas, evidenciadas a través de pruebas de admisión.
- Poseer habilidades ofimáticas básicas y tener acceso a un dispositivo digital con internet.
- Adelantar proceso de inscripción y demás actividades establecidas en el cronograma académico.
Requisitos de graduación:
- Aprobar la totalidad de créditos contemplados en el programa académico según el plan de estudios.
- Presentar el examen de estado de calidad de la educación superior, para el nivel técnico profesional y tecnológico.
- Aprobar el Trabajo de grado, de acuerdo con la reglamentación vigente por la institución para el programa académico
- Acreditar las competencias en una lengua extranjera, en el nivel A2, de acuerdo con el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia
- Estar a paz y salvo por todo concepto con la Institución.
- Haber cancelado los derechos de grado
Requerimientos Técnicos
Para que la experiencia formativa sea óptima, los estudiantes deberán contar con lo siguiente:
- Para Windows: Procesador PC Pentium 4 o mayor, 1.8 Ghz mínima, 1 GB en RAM mínimo, tarjeta de sonido y parlantes, adaptador de video con resolución de 1024x768 mínimo.
- Para Mac OS: Procesador Power PC G4 1.25 GHz, SDRAM mínimo de 512 MB, adaptador de video con resolución de 1024x768 mínimo
- Conectividad: La conexión ideal sería ADSL, pero en caso de que no se pueda acceder a esta tecnología, la conexión móvil funciona adecuadamente.
- Anchos de banda recomendados para una navegación efectiva: Velocidad mínima de conexión: 512 kb/s y la velocidad recomendada (ADSL): 1024 kb/s
- Navegadores homologados para las plataformas educativas, portales y sistemas de información institucionales: Google Chrome y Firefox

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of the most important screen-reader requirements, alongside console screenshots of code examples:
Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website.
These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
